Perrin Oil Cooler for FRS/BRZ
It may be obvious to some that you want to keep your oil cool under heavy load and extreme conditions. This keeps your oil from becoming too thin, or breaking down,which makes it less effective and could lead to premature engine wear or even engine failures! Another reason to keep your oil temps down is it keeps other engine components cooler which is good for HP. Until the BRZ/FR-S platform, we never really noticed oil temps playing a role as to how much HP an engine was making.
The PERRIN Performance oil cooler will reduce engine oil temperatures and extend engine life. The FR-S/BRZ engine does not have a factory oil cooler and therefore runs hotter oil temperatures then other performance vehicles. The PERRIN oil cooler tames oil temperatures keeping them at a consistent 85-90C (185f-194f) where the engine makes the most power. Keep your HP consistent with a PERRIN oil cooler.
PERRIN's FR-S/BRZ oil cooler kit uses lightweight Aeroquip brand -10 hose that is rated for 250psi and 215F. Each hose consists of anodized -10 push-lock type aluminum hose ends. These fittings are designed to fit without the need for clamps. Unlike other kits that make you assemble your hoses, PERRIN preassembles them for you!
